Choosing when, not just where

Why choose a particular trip? Why a retreat or a pilgrimage? When should you do it? In Mesopotamia, the court sages (astrologers) watched the sky and wrote reports to the monarch before every important decision, including, of course, the journeys he could and/or should make during that year or cycle.

Those tablets from the Assyrian period record letters with “advice to the king” based on astral and natural phenomena, a direct antecedent of what we would later call electional astrology (choosing the best moment to act).

Centuries later, in the Greco-Roman world, the technique was refined. Dorotheus of Sidon, in his Carmen Astrologicum, devotes an entire book to elections: guidelines for starting journeys, audiences or ventures under favorable configurations. In the Middle Ages, authors such as Sahl ibn Bishr preserved and expanded those rules for “departures and roads,” proof of a technical continuity that runs across cultures.

Traveling with awareness of time and place

As you can see, choosing a good trip can affect your life in very deep ways. Choosing the kind of trip and the experiences you want to live is essential. That is why I invite you to travel with awareness of time and place.

If we go to Greece, we go to the cradle of mythology and of Western astrology as we know it: the Hellenistic horizon where the concepts, houses, aspects and techniques were codified that would later nourish centuries of practice.

If we go to Egypt, we will see, among other things, how they tied the calendar to the heliacal rising of Sirius (Sothis), divided the night into “hours” with the decans, and calibrated the agricultural year with a precision that still amazes. Many centuries later, in the Library and the Mouseion of Alexandria, that knowledge lived alongside that of mathematicians and geographers; Ptolemy worked there, and from that setting astrology became a technical system.

That is why, when I invite you to travel with me, I invite you to reconnect with the history that shaped us and, above all, to meet yourself. Each day includes workshops and information designed for you, tailored to your birth chart and to the cycles you are going through right now. We travel to see the world, yes, but also to find clarity about our own path.

How we will experience it

• Daily sessions at the hotel, after the day's visits, following the itinerary, to look at your chart in clear language, with practical applications related to the trip and to your current moment in life.
• Talks on site: in temples, tombs, theaters, paths and museums we will give short astrological talks on the link between the place and its connection with astrological history and/or mythology.
